There are many research laboratories within the technopole and notably in the following fields :

Within the National Superior School of Applied Science and Technology (ENSSAT) :
- The lannion Computer Science Laboratory, flexible information research and multimodal dialogue for telematic servers.
- Information Processing System Analysis Laboratories, software and hardware architecture for mobile telecommunications.

Within France Telecom R&D, research and development fields are : network architecture, multimedia services, human interaction (vocal technologies, ...) and software techniques.

Within the lannion Space Meteorology Centre, data processing of meteorological satellites.

The Western Mission for Electronics, Computers Science and Telecommunication - MEITO, management of a knowledge data base, animation of these fields and promotion of companies and laboratories by giving concrete expression to new idea.

Within the ENSSAT (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Science Appliqué et de Technologies) : the Optronics Laboratory, optoelectronics with applications to optical and sensor communication systems.

Within France Telecom R&D : the Transportation and Access Networks Laboratory, studies optical transmission techniques allowing very high increases in data transmission, evolution of terrestrial and undersea optical transport networks.

The Lannion Common Optical Centre - CCLO (Centre Commun Lannionnais d'Optique), researches optical telecommunication and componenet technology revolving around two main themes, one linked to integrated optics, the other dealing with optical coupling.

Within the ENST Brittany area : the"optical cross connect" laboratory.

The Agae Development Research centre (CEVA), the only institution in Europe to master the algae network from the exploitation of the resources to their development.
